Graham School Invites Kevin Conlon to Address Beijing Delegation of Public Sector Employees

Kevin Conlon led a day-long seminar on the topic of Training Systems of US Public Employees to a delegation of Chinese public sector leaders. The three-day lecture series was hosted by The University of Chicago’s Graham School of General Studies.

Teen Living Programs’ Impact Featured in the Chicago Tribune

A November 8th article in the Chicago Tribune highlights the positive impact Teen Living Programs, a past client of Conlon Public Strategies, continues to have in the Chicago community. Every year, close to 500 young, homeless Chicagoans turn to Teen Living for counseling, support, and transitional housing, but what they come away with is a place to call home and a renewed sense of hope for a brighter future.

Kevin Conlon participated in Branson Powers’ B2B Executive Innovation Summit on October 18th. Conlon shared his perspectives with other senior business leaders from a variety of industries during roundtable discussions addressing successful tactics and modes for implementing innovative ideas and strategies in the current business climate.

Kate Benson Named to Governors State Board

Kate Bensen has been appointed to the Charter Advisory Board for the College of Arts and Sciences at Governors State University. The board advises the Dean of the College regarding strategic priorities, opportunities for community outreach and fundraising.

Kevin Conlon Attends College & University Climate Commitment Summit

The American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC), a network of nearly 650 college and university presidents whose institutions are committed to neutralizing greenhouse gas emissions and accelerating the efforts of the higher education community to equip society with the tools to re-stabilize the earth’s climate held its annual leadership summit in Chicago. Illinois Science Council Hosts Author Chris Mooney

The Illinois Science Council (ISC), founded in 2006 by Monica Metzler, hosted a lunch conversation with science journalist Chris Mooney on his Chicago visit after the release of his latest book, Unscientific America: How Scientific Illiteracy Threatens Our Future.  The ISC is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes science and technology to the adult public.  ISC co-sponsored Mr. Mooney's evening presentation on July 22nd with the Northwestern University Science Policy Action Network organization.
