Jamey Fadim, Conlon Public Strategies General Counsel, was appointed
as the Dinner Chair for the Merit School of Music's annual
Gala to be held on April 26, 2006, at the Four Seasons Hotel in
Chicago.
The Merit School was founded in 1979 when the
Chicago Public Schools eliminated music from elementary school
curriculum. Merit is dedicated to ensuring that Chicago-area
children have the chance to experience and excel in music.

Chuck
Connor, Senior Vice President for Communications and Marketing for the American
Red Cross, gave a special presentation to Conlon Public Strategies clients on crisis
communications. Mr. Connor, a leader in his field, shared
valuable lessons from his experience as well as effective strategies
for working with the media in a crisis situation.

New York Times gave high
praise for the Sheridan Correctional Facility, which is partially run
by the Safer
Foundation, a Conlon Public Strategies client.
Sheridan is the nation's largest prison
dedicated to drug treatment and has already seen dramatic drops in the
recidivism rate among its former inmates. Safer Foundation works
with those leaving the prison to secure job training and employment.

DNC briefing on the Democratic
Party's 2006 and 2008 election strategy. The briefing was led
by Tom McMahon, Executive Director of the DNC, and Cornell Belcher, DNC
Pollster.
Conlon Public Strategies President Kevin Conlon was recently named
Midwest Finance Chair for the DNC.

Governor Blagojevich signed into law a bill
championed by Conlon Public Strategies client the Illinois Coalition for Adoption
Reform. The law is a national model for adoption reform,
establishing a number of protections for adoptive parents, birth
parents, and their children. Under the leadership of Conlon Public Strategies, the
Coalition navigated the legislation through the General Assembly this
spring and joined the Governor at the bill signing this morning.

Alan Sender,
COO of Chestnut
Health Systems, a Conlon Public Strategies client, was named Citizen of the Year by the
town of Normal, Illinois. Mayor Chris Koos presented the award to
Sender, saying, "Alan is a classic example of someone who is always
willing to go the extra mile to make a positive difference in the
community."

was selected to serve on the National Finance Board of the Democratic National Committee. Next week, he will join DNC Chair Howard Dean in Washington to
meet with fellow board members and Democratic leaders.

has selected Conlon Public Strategies to augment its government and community relations
efforts. ACCESS is the nation's largest provider of free and
low-cost primary health care to the underserved. ACCESS has 800
employees at 44 clinical sites in metropolitan Chicago that serve more
than 175,000 patients each year. One-third of patients have no
insurance at all.

Legislators served as Celebrity Chefs at the Third Annual Summer Games,
hosted by Conlon Public Strategies client, Neumann
Association, which serves men and women with developmental
disabilities and mental illness.
Chefs included State Senator Carol
Ronen and State Representatives Toni Berrios, John D'Amico, Lou Lang,
and Cynthia Soto.

partnered
with companies around the world to offer Employee Assistance Programs,
offering counseling in the employee’s local area for personal issues
including stress, family matters, financial problems, and
trauma. Chestnut's latest partnership with FedEx's regional
branches in Latin America and the Caribbean has helped FedEx win top
billing as one of the "Best Places to Work."

week's issue of Time Magazine named
Mayor Daley one of the five Best Big-City Mayors. In the last
line of the article, Conlon Public Strategies President Kevin Conlon
captured the essence of the Mayor's talent and influence, saying,
"This is not a job for him. It's a calling. He's mayor
as long as he wants to be."

After
weeks of testifying at hearings and meeting with top legislative
leaders, the Illinois Coalition for Adoption Reform won approval of
adoption reform legislation that establishes a number of protections
for adoptive parents, birth parents, and their children. Members
of the Coalition were joined by Baby Tamia and her family last week in
Springfield for a press conference on the bill (HB 3628), which sailed
through the House on Thursday by a vote of 117-0. The bill now
moves to the Senate for consideration.

Conlon Public Strategies won final map approval for the development of a 35-lot residential subdivision in
rural Napa Valley, California
– a project
that is likely to be the last of its kind in northern Napa
County. Aaron Harkin served as Project Manager, guiding
engineers, lawyers, and numerous consultants through the planning and
permit
process. With this approval in hand, the
market value of the client’s property will increase significantly.
2/15 The Neumann Association, a Conlon Public Strategies client serving adults with
developmental disabilities and mental illness, was featured in a cover
story in the Suburban Life. This story
focuses on one of the many partnerships between Neumann and local
businesses and organizations, creating a win-win situation for both
Neumann's clients and the community.

Public Strategies sponsored the First
Friday Club luncheon with Dr. Mary Hendrix, President and
Scientific Director of the Children's Memorial Research Center at the
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The topic of
Dr. Hendrix's address was: What are stem cells and how can
society benefit from their application in medicine?
1/22 Kevin Conlon will be speaking at the
inaugural training session of Creative America, a non-profit
organization dedicated to recruiting and training creative
professionals
to run for elected office. The training session will be held at
the Bailiwick Repertory Theater from 9am to 5pm.
