joined the firm as a Vice President. Kate has

Public Strategies hosts Celebrate Chicago, an event that celebrates
the spirit of volunteering and service in Chicago. Presentations
were delivered by local unsung heroes and by the Jefferson
Awards for Public Service, which seeks to honor ordinary people
who do extraordinary things to improve the quality of life in their
communities.

10/2 Monica Metzler, founder of the Illinois Science
Council, is quoted in the Chicago Tribune. The Illinois Science
Council's "Science Talks" take place October 2-11 in different
venues around the city. All events are free and open to the general
public.
8/14 Kevin Conlon hosted Senator Hillary Clinton at his

8/3 Monica Metzler serves as President
of the non-profit Illinois Science Council which, in partnership with
the Chicago Department of Environment, will screen An
Inconvenient Truth in Grant Park on August 22nd.

Chicago Symphony Orchestra is one of 14 grant recipients to
benefit form The MacArthur Foundation's increased commitment to Chicago
arts and culture.
4/9 Kevin Conlon will teach a 5-part
lecture series by satellite link for students at the
University of Chile, in cooperation with the Harris School
of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Conlon
will use politics as a frame of reference for public policy
campaigns.
