Real Estate and Land Use
Effective land use and development creates jobs, grows
local economies, and serves community interests. We connect people in
the real estate world and help our clients develop community and
government support for their initiatives.
Case Study: Wrigley Rooftop Owners. Conlon Public Strategies serves
as an advocate for the association of small businesses that own the
rooftops overlooking Wrigley Field, where companies and individuals
often hold events during Cubs games. We helped this association work
with community and city leaders to keep the massive Tribune Company
from building an addition to Wrigley Field that would have obscured the
view from the rooftops. Ultimately, we reached a compromise that keeps
the Wrigley Rooftop Owners in business.
Case study:
Ohio University Airport. Conlon Public Strategies helped this
university obtain funding from the federal government to expand the
runway at its airport, adding millions to the local economy.
Case study:
Enchanted Resorts. Conlon Public Strategies is serving as an on-site
manager for the development of a 35-lot residential project in Napa
Valley, California. We are navigating the pre-construction planning
and permitting process and coordinating communication among all the
relevant players—civil and structural engineers, lawyers, city
officials, in addition to landscape, tree, and geotechnical
consultants among others. In a jurisdiction with arguably the
toughest regulations in the country, we have turned this property
into an asset that completed and certified a Final Map granting
approvals for the 35-lot residential project. The project has now
embarked on seeking entitlements for a hotel to compliment the
residential project. We continue to service this client.
