Catherine Voigt, Account Executive
After more than ten years in the public sector, Catherine Voigt joined Conlon Public Strategies in 2006. She began her career working in the Illinois appellate and supreme courts as a law clerk for Justices Mary Ann McMorrow, Gino Di Vito, Edward Egan, and John Bowman. She practiced labor and employment law and school law at Franczek Sullivan, P.C., before specializing in appellate work with the Illinois State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor.
Voigt was a law journal editor in law school and has published articles on issues ranging from governmental tort immunity, insurance coverage for experimental medical treatment, federal anti-discrimination regulations, and developments in legislation affecting schools.
Voigt uses these advocacy, writing, and research skills to help CPS clients develop the messages, materials, and strategies needed to achieve their goals in the public arena. She also offers CPS clients grant writing experience, including research of public and private funding opportunities and proposal development.
Voigt earned a law degree from the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and an undergraduate degree in English with Highest University Honors from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She has completed coursework on grant writing at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She lives in Glen Ellyn with her husband Derek and their three children, Ashley, Marisa, and Celia.
